Wasaga Beach Half Marathon

The race will begin and end on Beach Drive along the Main Beach in Wasaga Beach. (See map) The route begins with a 1km loop around the Start Area before heading west through the many beach-side parks and lanes of Wasaga Beach. The course turns-around at the west edge of Wasaga Beach before retracing a similar route back to downtown. The race finish is still along scenic Beach Drive in the heart of the Wasaga Beach Strip!

Online registration through EventsOnline is now open!  Registration fees may be paid by VISA or MasterCard and a confirmation email will be sent immediately. 

The deadline for online registration is 9AM on Thursday Sept 8th. Registrations will be accepted on race day.

Personalized Race Bibs! Don't miss the cut off to get your name printed on your race bib. The cut off date for personalized bibs is Monday September 5th. Spectators can cheer you on as you cross the finish line and throughout the course.

From 7:00AM to 8:45AM at the Race Site

Directions

 

  • HWY 400 North to Barrie
  • Continue North on HWY 400
  • Exit at Horseshoe Valley Rd
  • Turn Left (WEST) on Horseshoe Valley Rd and travel 4.5km WEST to County Road 27
  • Turn Right (NORTH) on County Road 27 and travel 11km NORTH on to Elmvale
  • Turn LEFT (WEST) onto Queen St/Road 92 and travel 15km WEST to Wasaga Beach
  • Merge Right and follow Main Street towards the Beach
  • Cross over the River Bridge and Continue Straight for 100m

FREE Parking is available adjacent to the start line. Please enter the Municipal parking lot off of Mosley Dr.

Flat and fast starting on Beach Drive!

Each kilometre will be accurately marked and aid stations will be approximately 100 metres after the designated kilometre mark.

The course will remain open for 3 1/2 hours.

Aid Stations

 

Aid stations will be located every 2 Miles (3.2km) and will have Water, Hammer H.E.E.D. and Assorted Hammer Gels. Portable toilets will be located at 6km, 11km, 16km and the Start and Finish.

Race Day Information

Start/finish Line

Dry and secure baggage check will be available. There are plenty of change facilities and washrooms at the start line. Leave yourself time to check your gear.

Post Race Party

Post race food, including fruit, bagels and refreshments will be available to all participants.

Awards/Prizing

Finishers in the Wasaga Beach Half Marathon will receive a medal!

Age categories are as follows: 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. No duplication of prizing.
