Registration fees for the Island Girl Toronto 10K INCLUDE the round-trip ferry fee.
The deadline for online registration is midnight on Wednesday, August 18th. Registrations will be accepted at race kit pick up and on race day. If you plan on registering on race day please arrive early.
Personalized Race Bibs! Don't miss the cut off to get your name printed on your race bib. The cut off date for personalized bibs is Sunday, August 8th. Spectators can cheer you on as you cross the finish line and throughout the course!
Every participant will receive a Zorrel technical shirt. No shirt sizes are guaranteed.
Race Kit Pickup
Race Kit Pick Up - Friday, August 20th - 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Toronto Island Ferry Docks located at the foot of Bay Street on Queens Quay, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle. Look for our tent at the entrance to the ferry docks.
We encourage all participants to pick up your race kit on Friday afternoon. You will be given your BIB, t-shirt, race kit and ferry ticket. On Saturday all you need to do is board the Hanlan's Point ferry and pick up your timing chip on the Island.
Race Kit Pick Up - Race Day Saturday, August 21st - 7:45 am - 9:00 am (on the Island)
Location: Hanlan's Point at the registration tent
Starting at 7:00am on race day participants will pick up their FERRY TICKET ONLY on the mainland before boarding the Hanlan's Point ferry. Your name will be checked off a list of participants and you will be given your ferry ticket. Arrive early to get your tickets for the 7:30 am ferry.
Once on the Island you will receive your bib, race t-shirt, race kit and timing chip.
Venue Information
Getting to the Island is easy! The 10-minute ferry ride from downtown takes you to a tranquil community with an Island way of life. The 550-acre island park made up of several small islands makes for a unique race course and venue.
The Toronto Ferry Dock is located at the foot of Bay Street and Queens Quay, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle. Participants will board the ferry to Hanlan's Point. Do not get on a ferry without asking where it is going.
Ferries on race day, Saturday August 21st leave the mainland for HANLAN'S POINT at:
7:30 am (suggested for those who need to pick up their race kits)
8:00 am
8:45 am (this is cutting it tight!)
The summer ferry schedule to and from Hanlan's Point can be found on this link. There are three ferries on race morning 7:30 am, 8:00 am and 8:45 am. Anyone who has not picked up their race kit is strongly encouraged to be on the 7:30 am ferry. Be sure to board the ferry to Hanlan's Point. Return ferries will leave the island every half hour starting at 10:30 am.
Round trip ferry fees are included in the race registration fees.

- Travel South to Queens Quay
- Take Queens Quay towards Bay St
- The Toronto Island Ferry Docks are behind the Westin Harbour Castle at Queens Quay/Bay St
- Catch the Ferry to Hanlan's Point

Parking
Parking is available one block north at Lakeshore and Bay, one block west on Queens Quay between Bay and York Street, one block east opposite the Toronto Star building, adjacent to Captain Johns restaurant.

Single, flat loop on a combination of wide paved roads and a wooden boardwalk. A traffic-free and scenic course! You won't believe you're running minutes from downtown Toronto!
Each kilometre will be accurately marked and aid stations will be approximately 100 metres after the designated kilometre mark.
The course allows for great spectator viewing and cheering. Bring your family and friends and escape to the Caribbean for an afternoon.
The course will remain open for 2 hours.
Aid Stations
Aid stations at 3K and 7K serving RUN infinIT replacement fluid, then water. Port-a-potties available at each aid station and at the start and finish lines. There are washrooms at the start/finish area.

Dry and secure baggage check will be available for your post race clothing. Change facilities are limited, come ready to race.

Post Race Party
The InfraRed Band will be sending off the participants with a lively Caribbean beat. They will keep the party going until the racers return.
Post race food, including tropical fruit and refreshments will be available to all participants.
Awards/Prizing
Finishers in the Island Girl Toronto 10K will receive a fun, flip-flop medal!
Prizing will include merchandise and gift certificates from our Prize Sponsors Running Free and Running Skirts. Gift certificate prizing will be awarded to the top three finishers in the OVERALL and MASTERS categories.
Age group prizing will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group. Awards include a medal and personalized picture award from Mike Cheliak Photography.
Age categories are as follows: 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. No duplication of prizing.
