Registration fees for the Island Girl Toronto Half Marathon INCLUDE the round-trip ferry fee.
The deadline for online registration is midnight on Wednesday, September 8th. Registrations will be accepted on race day provided the race has not reached it's capacity.
Personalized Race Bibs! Don't miss the cut off to get your name printed on your race bib. The cut off date for personalized bibs is Sunday, September 5th. Spectators can cheer you on as you cross the finish line and throughout the course!
Please note that shirt sizes are available while quantities last. Your selection on the registration form is only used as a guideline.
Race Kit Pickup
Race Kit Pick Up - Friday, September 10th - 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Toronto Island Ferry Docks located at the foot of Bay Street on Queens Quay, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle. Look for our tent at the entrance to the ferry docks.
We encourage all participants to pick up your race kit on Friday afternoon. You will be given your BIB, t-shirt, race kit and ferry ticket. On Saturday all you need to do is board the Centre Island ferry and pick up your timing chip on the Island.
Race Kit Pick Up - Race Day Saturday, September 11th - 7:00am - 9:30am
Location: Toronto Island Ferry Docks located at the foot of Bay Street on Queens Quay, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle. Look for our tent at the entrance to the ferry docks.
On race day participants will pick up their BIB and ferry ticket only on the mainland before boarding the Centre Island ferry.
Once on the Island you will receive your race t-shirt, race kit and timing chip.
Venue Information
Getting to the Island is easy! The 10-minute ferry ride from downtown takes you to a tranquil community with an Island way of life. The 550-acre island park made up of several small islands makes for a unique race course and venue.
The islands used to be a vibrant community complete with 8,000 residents and a main street with businesses. A park since 1956, today there are 250 homes remaining, a few restaurants, a school, a fire and ambulance station and a haunted lighthouse.
The Mainland Ferry Terminal is a short ten minute walk from Union Station.
The Toronto Ferry Dock is located at the foot of Bay Street and Queens Quay, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle. Participants will board the ferry to Centre Island.

Parking
Parking is available one block north at Lakeshore and Bay, one block west on Queens Quay between Bay and York Street, one block east opposite the Toronto Star building, adjacent to Captain Johns restaurant.
Course Information
Flat and fast, two loop course on Toronto Island. Completely traffic-free!
Each kilometre will be accurately marked and aid stations will be approximately 100 metres after the designated kilometre mark.
The course will remain open for 3 1/2 hours.
Aid Stations
Aid stations will be located approximately 3K, 6K, 10K, 13K, 16K and 20K and will serve replacement fluid followed by water. Vaseline and band aids will be available at each aid station. Gels will be handed out at 16K. Port-a-potties will be located at each aid station and at the start and finish.
Race Day Information

Dry and secure baggage check will be available. There is plenty of change facilities and washrooms at the start line. Leave yourself time to check your gear.Post Race Party
Post race food and refreshments will be available to all participants.
Awards/Prizing
All finishers will receive a uniquely designed Island Girl Toronto Half Marathon medal.

Age categories are as follows: 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. No duplication of prizing.
